BELLY DANCE, TAP, BALLET -

Teaching since 1975. Jasmine has performed through out the United States, Italy and Egypt. Director of the Al As Har Belly Dancers and the Golden Tappers. Started dance training in New York at the age of three and professionally dancing since childhood. Exceptionally talented performer with an ability to teach all levels. Jasmine will continue to teach at the Las Vegas Senior Center and will also teach at Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center.  The classes include Tap, Belly Dance, Tap/Ballet and Creative Movement for children, Arabic Drum, and other classes through invitation.

BELLY DANCE & TAP -

Carol Kilchristie has been dancing for 24 years and teaching for over 20 years here at A-Z Dance. She is a member of the elite Tap Dance group called the Golden Tappers and was one of the founding members in 1985.  She is also a member of the Al As Har Egyptian Belly Dancers.  She is constantly giving back to her community by performing at convalescent hospitals and the like.  She is an exceptional talent and a wonderful teacher.  Carol will be leaving us in September 2008, to be with her family and friends in Texas.  She will be sorely missed as an exceptional dancer, wonderful teacher, and a true friend.  It has been a true blessing to have shared our lives with Carol.

POLYNESIAN -

Bessie Lehman was born in Western Samoa. She has entertained and toured all throughout the United States and Canada. Bessie performed nitely at the Sahara Hotel in the Pacific Rim Restaurant with "Island Magic" Polynesian Revue. She teaches the native songs and dances of Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa and New Zealand. Each dance is broken down slowly and clearly into individual steps. Her classes are a fantastic opportunity to learn the dances of Polynesia. Bessie is currently considering her options. I will let you know what her decision is and where she will be teaching as soon as possible.

BELLY DANCE -

Shari Brantley has been dancing since she was a child.   She was also a member of the Al As Har Egyptian Belly Dancers.   She is an exceptional talent and a wonderful teacher. Shari will be teaching at Dance Connection on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. It is located at 7501 North Cimarron Road #103. On Thursdays she teaches at Silver Mesa Recreation Center, 4025 Allen Lane. She is now on staff at Dance Connection Dance Studio and has presented her dancers in a recital in 2009.

BALLET -

Lucretia Serban is an Instructor and choreographer with 22 years as a prima ballerina at the Music and Drama Theatre 'Konstantin Kisimov', Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. 'Konstantin Kisimov' is the 2nd largest musical theatre of Bulgaria. Over 30 performances, including operetti and musicals. We are very please to have such a talent directing our ballet program. She is now teaching Ballet in 2009 for the Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department.

IRISH STEP DANCING -

Marty O'Roark has taken our Celtic program and revived the dance. Traditional style with lots of fun and energy, Her classes are enjoyed by young and old alike. We do not compete in the traditional Irish Feis, but we do take our dancers to dance competitions that involve all forms of dance like ballet,jazz, tap, etc.  We teach both the hardshoe, hornpipe, and soft shoe dances like reels, jigs, slip jigs, etc.  Marty will  begin teaching classes at Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center in October on Fridays at 4:30 pm. Bravo Marty keeping the spirits alive!
